:D Another shot of Devil's Darning Needle", Halloween Pennant Dragonfly (Celithemis eponina). :aww: I just love his silly face. :D

 As you could see, I'm back from Chesapeake Bay, worse for wear but in one piece. :lmao: Catching up will take some time. :D

Invader's blood marches through my veins like giant, radioative rubber pants! The pants command me, do not ignore my veins!

Outstanding capture of a Halloween Pennant. One of the very best I've seen. This one looks like it hatched recently. It doesn't have any of the tatters or other signs on his wings that usually indicate an older specimen. These little guys and gals don't live in my area, but they aren't far off. I really like seeing them when I visit their habitat in a nearby Wildlife Refuge.

:aww: Thanks a lot, Cory.  :D The critter was balancing on that grass top and fortunately for me was more interested in making faces than in flying away.

:thanks: Thanks for the :+fav: too.

 He was using the grass like a swing, going back and forth in the wind. :lmao:

:aww: Thanks a lot for the compliment, Dan.  :D I was overjoyed when I spotted this one swinging on the grass' end and not interested in flying too far away. It was back in July, when most of the dragonflies just started to show up so I guess you are right, this one was rather young. :D He was so shiny in the sun. :aww: From the 5 or 6 shots I managed to squeeze this was my favorite. :D :D I'm glad you like it. :aww:
