Artist's Comments After 'Dianthus' in blue for *wintry* feel it's time for some warmer shade, maybe because it was freezing cold for last couple of days.   Square crop again. I am getting addicted.   Again Deptford Pink, Dianthus armeria. Getting first part of their name from *pinked* or *sawtoothed* edges of the petals.   Once again uploaded on dA image has heavy dark spots in background, something I don't have on the original.  And I STILL don't know why.  Is that color dependent? We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
