Artist's Comments

:D It's not very often that I could sneak on a bird close enough to snap a picture. With zoom on my camera next to nothing (3X) they usually take off when I'm still too far away to even try. :lmao: Today I was a little more lucky but then the conditions were so poor - overcast and foggy - that it was a wasted exercise. :O_o: My camera isn't at its best in any other mode than macro and with low light and greyness all around it was acting up even more than usual. But as I don't think I'd get lucky another time - I might have used all my luck for weeks to come today, shortly after taking this shot - there it goes, the Great Egret, back at our lake for the Summer. :)

:D Scraps soon.

 He (or she) took off soon after that to join another one farther down the shore so I don't think it was waiting for me. :lmao: I managed to catch it because it wasn't paying any attention to me. :D
:aww: Thanks, Jurgen.  I think is barely passable. Low light is always screwing up my camera's focus abilities.

Maybe you should get yourself a better camera then if low light screws your shots up :O_o:

That's impossible that a goose doesn't see that huge worm around her

 Don't insult my camera. :shakefist:

:D From my experience almost all Canon DSLR cameras have the same issue on overcast days with fog and moisture in grey air - the sensors get confused I guess. So my not DSLR Canon isn't that much off. :lmao:

;) By the way, it's Egret, not goose, silly. ;)

 The Canon camera must be not good if they get confused by fog and moisture
