My favorite butterfly, the Monarch. I took so many photos of it during the Summer that I didn't post even half of them. Just stored them in the *leftovers* folder for future use during long, colourless Winter. As it happens it's not Winter yet but it sure is colourless around here.
Thanks a lot, Dale. Monarch is just hard to resist. And hard to keep in one place for long so every time I got few shots I was elated.
As a side note, the background is green. Dark green, I will admit, but for sure not black. Are you sure you don't have your monitor contrast set up too high?

First off, everyone here at deviantART would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the launch of version 6 and believe that this has been our best-received launch to date.
You might even be one hell of a profesional, but if you don't SHOW it and PROVE it, how will everyone know? These facts are important not only when you are looking for a job, but in any situation when you wish to showcase your work. I decided to share a few guidelines that might help you give the best of yourself and help you be a better profesional.

Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

Yeah, the monarch is an awesome butterfly
Good capture, really well in focus, nice colour, and the fact that he is off to the side with a nice big black section just adds to the effect.
Good work mate
God bless.
Dale.
