I have to share this with you, guys, doesn't matter the quality. I know the composition sucks and the background is distracting, but... I got my first Dragonfly this year and what a catch it is. It's beautifully green female Eastern Pondhawk, Erythemis simplicicollis, also called 'Green Jacket'. It's some 1 3/4" (about 40 mm) long and I never before was close enough to it to take a picture. Considering that the tip of my lens has to be between 5 and 7 inches maximum from the subject, I didn't have much hope today, seeing it land in the bushes. I sneaked on it slowly, and moved the camera closer to it even slower, and... I got 4 shots of it before it took off. I even managed in this one not to crop its wings.
Love it! Compositional issues or not - you have incredible eyes for lovely shots - this one included! far and away beats 90% of what's out there Great job - and capture!
WOWWOWWOW! Wormsy, well done sweetie! I think this is a fantastic capture and I personally love the composition. Congratulations on your first dragonfly cpature of the year, it is fabulous.

Oh wow. If that isn't detailed, I don't know what is The first instance I saw this... I got the impression of a lady dressed in something made completely from emeralds and jades.
Very lovely shot indeed.

WOW! That is one amazing picture! I have a thing for dragonflies. And the ones I see are dull colored....This one is amazing. The background is fine, I just focused on the dragonfly! Amazing!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
