'lady's locket'

Or 'lady's eardrops'. My last year's favorite flower to shoot. I couldn't resist them this year either but took different approach to shooting them. The image is slightly cropped from the right and nothing more. And for now I'm not telling you my *secret* set up, although you could try and guess.



Of course it's Bleeding Heart, Dicentra spectabilis, originated in China.





<sub>You can reportedly make a story out of a Bleeding Heart flower by dividing it into six pieces that are supposed to resemble 2 pink rabbits, a pair of earrings, a pair of Oriental slippers, and a dagger. The first five items supposedly stand for the gifts presented by an infatuated young man to a cold-hearted princess. And the last is what he stabbed himself with when she spurned him.
