The Red Milkweed Beetle, Tetraopes tetrophthalmus, checking on my whereabouts.

_{TETRAOPHTHALMUS: from the Greek tettares (four) and ophthalmos (the eye), refers to the four eyes of the adult (two above the antennae, and two below).
Body length 8-15 mm, head diameter about 3 mm.}

My first entry for Tina's Detail in Macro Contest.

* Canon PowerShot G6. Shot in Super Macro mode, Aperture priority.
* ISO 50. All other EXIF info under the picture.
* Slightly cropped on the right, Levels adjustment 21/0.95/255, Shadow-Highlight adjustment 3/6, no color adjustment (Canon rocks ), no sharpening, no noise reduction.
